Modify /etc/ethers
08:00:20:04:f1:bc moulinette
Modify /etc/hosts
172.16.3.254 moulinette
Modify /etc/inetd.conf
Add tftpd in /tftpboot:
tftp dgram udp wait root /usr/libexec/tftpd tftpd -s /tftpboot
Prepare the bootloader
$ sudo cp boot.net /tftpboot $ echo 172.16.3.253 | awk -F . \ '{ printf "%02X%02X%02X%02X\n", $1, $2, $3 ,$4 }' $ sudo ln -s boot.net AC1003FD.SUN4M
Use tcpdump to find the suffix.
Modify /etc/bootparams
moulinette root=172.16.1.49:/export/sparc
Prepare the bsd ramdisk
$ sudo cp bsd.rd /export/sparc
Modify /etc/exports
/export/sparc -maproot=root moulinette
Start required services
$ sudo pkill -HUP inted $ sudo portmap $ sudo mountd $ sudo nfsd -tun 4 $ sudo rarpd bge0 $ sudo rpc.bootparamd
